Independence????

Philippine flag

The Philippine flag has been a symbol of our freedom through all generations that had passed these promising country. It has been treasured and loved by patriotic countrymen and the likes, but are we really standing by what it signify? are we really free…..

Recall history, we’ve fought for our flag to be flung anywhere, we sacrificed, shed our blood, and defended our dear nation from all the invaders that attempted to colonized us. Yes we’ve won over them, or was it freedom? Why do we still suffer racism, prejudiced by our fellow country men. These mentalities that had clung in every one of us turned out to be invaders themselves that shamed our flag and what it symbolizes. we are still at war with our individual self and the world full of wretched people that wanted not more but wretchedness for others.

We had been free from the strong hold of the Spaniards, they had imprisoned our country for a century and more, we had their traits and cultured copied and pasted in our minds like a son to his father, we were freed by the Americans but they were no better, colonizing our government, stealing gold from us and gaining our trust so that we will remain loyal to them as slaves are to their masters. We are so stupid following them like dogs, eating their garbage……

When will the filipino people wake up and realize they were becoming someone when they should be themselves. when will they embrace the true spirit of patriotism, the true significance of our flag…..

A Poem Worthy Of Thought

Desiderata
— written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s —
Not “Found in Old St. Paul’s Church”! — see below
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

shelley

Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

Music, when soft voices die Vibrates in the memory.

These are some of shelley’s quotes that attracted me. It mirrored my thoughts today.He has a lot of poems that I endear especially those that tell of his true feelings and about his love for nature. I will always love him and his works. His story embedded in me and it pains me how tragically he died, it isn’t over he could have given the world his masterpiece but God decides the fate of men. Who are we to question  the Almighty One that made world. Shelley will always be in my heart and his face will never leave my consciousness. These wonderful quotes accompany me as I trod the day.

Give Me Some Sunshine - xRG.mkv (by aakashgr88)

this scene has captivated me. it is sad to know that you did something for a person but that person didn’t even have the chance to appreciate what you did. rancho saw joy, a senior, junk his project because it is useless. rancho was inspired to do his project for him, he even encouraged his friends to help him. this song gave him the inspiration, sang by joy with all his heart. unfortunately, when he was about to show joy his now useful invention, his lifeless body was found hanging at the ceiling with the note “I QUIT”. sad, but this is the scene wherein rancho had a changed of heart. he wanted to change the system of education so that no other “joy” will be found hanging on midair.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?

Books loose my harnessed imagination, it is the only thing that keeps me sane. I know that I am a different person, a weirdo so I pour out my time with reading because it is the only world that I find intriguing. Books makes me smile and it enables my heart to be submerge in grace

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein

It is a rather a funny thought to do things continuously then expecting something might change. I am  a monotonous person, things like this really caught me. I am insane only in my mind, I do stuffs that I find in real  life awkward. But that’s the irony of life, you can only imagine, pretend it happening then realizing that you are actually a bore hahaha… life…. the heck of it…
It is a controversy whether Rizal or Bonifacio be the national hero. Some say that it should have been Andres Bonifacio since he started katipunan and has this fire that needed an outlet and that was the revolution. Some say it very well be Jose Rizal, he caused the awareness of slavery and oppression that lifted the Filipinos in the mud of Spanish governance. His writings gathered the Filipino people’s heart and thus, the call for insurgency came about. I don’t care whether it be Rizal or Bonifacio. Both men were great and with fervor and piety gave their lives for the salvation of our country. It was a degradation on their part to be just a choice or a debate of something that they both know are futile. Yes, Rizal is the national hero but did he asked for it? Did Bonifacio wanted to be the national hero why did he, in faced with the leadership of the katipunan chose to be the humbled and let the people pick their leader instead of heaving himself as the elected. Both of these men were humble. They only want the betterment of this country. Actually, if they have the opportunity to see what have become of their most revered land they will be disappointed because the people that were the oppressed turned out to be the oppressor themselves of their fellow countrymen. What a shame, what a shame…..
